“Rhythm of the waves”, Sand Patch near Albany Wind Farm 2020

The rugged cliffs of the Torndirrup peninsula face directly onto the wild Southern Ocean. Over millions of years the ocean has relentlessly eroded the coastline making these intricate patterns in the granite rock shelf. The whitewash today looked like musical waves, almost three dimensional, gradually wearing away the rocky shelf. I was mesmerised by the patterns and incredible green/blue colours of the ocean. It was as if time stood still.

The artwork is printed on Canson Rag Photgraphique (310gsm), a fine art archival paper, and mounted on foam board. Sizes exclude borders.
